Gold Coast Transit Provides Bus Service Between Moorpark and Union Station While Metrolink Service on the Ventura Line is Suspended Due to the Porter Ranch Fire

Due to smoke and low visibility resulting from the Porter Ranch Fire today, Metrolink has suspended service on its Ventura Line.  Ventura County residents who need to get to Union Station from Moorpark or from Union Station to stations along the Ventura Line today will be able to hop on a Gold Coast Transit bus and get to their destinations.

The first Gold Coast Transit bus was scheduled to leave the Moorpark Metrolink Station for Union Station around 4:57 p.m.   The Gold Coast Transit bus will make stops at the following Metrolink Stations:  Simi Valley, Burbank, Glendale and Los Angeles Union Station.    Because of street closures in the vicinity of the Metrolink Chatsworth Station, the Gold Coast Transit buses will not be stopping at that station.

Passengers taking advantage of this special bus connection will be able to ride for free.

Gold Coast Transit is a joint powers agency governed by a Board of Directors made up of an elected official from each member jurisdiction – Cities of Ojai, Oxnard, Port Hueneme and Ventura, and the County of Ventura.
