Bill Fulton Elected Chair of Gold Coast Transit Board of Directors

OXNARD, CA – The Board of Directors of Gold Coast Transit has elected Ventura Deputy Mayor Bill Fulton to serve as the Board’s chair for 2008. Ventura County Supervisor John Flynn was selected as the Board’s vice-chair.

New Ojai Express Service Begins

Oxnard, CA –Beginning Monday, October 8, 2007, Gold Coast Transit, formerly known as South Coast Area Transit, began two new express bus routes to and from Ojai. On the first day of service, inbound and outbound passengers arriving at the Ojai park and ride lot were treated to coffee, pastries, and copies of the Ojai Valley News. Gold Coast Transit staff was on hand to greet passengers and answer any questions they might have about the new service.

Gold Coast Transit Introduces New Bus Book and Additional Bus Service

Oxnard, CA –Gold Coast Transit, formerly known as South Coast Area Transit, has published its first Gold Coast Transit Bus Book, a compilation of all route maps, schedules, and information relating to the transit system into a single book. The new Bus Book becomes effective October 7, 2007, and its distribution is timed to coincide with the start of new routes and service improvements.
