Gold Coast Transit Releases Statement from Today’s Special Meeting of the Board
Gold Coast Transit’s (GCT) Board of Directors met this morning in closed session with its labor negotiators, pursuant to government code 54957.6.
At the conclusion of the meeting GCT General Manager, Steven Brown, released the following statement: “The Board has directed GCT’s legal counsel to make contact with the Union today. We would like to resolve this matter and get the bus service back to normal for our passengers as soon as possible."
GCT continues to update the list of routes and trips that are not operating, on Facebook and via Twitter (@GoldCoastBus) several times daily. Passengers may also call 805-487-4222, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Should bus service continue to be disrupted, the Customer Service Center will be manned on Saturday and Sunday, 8AM-4PM to assist passengers with their travel needs.
