Every year Gold Coast Transit joins the American Public Transportation Associaton and hundreds of other transit systems throughout the country to celebrate National Dump the Pump Day. Dump the Pump was created to remind people they have alternatives to driving alone. This year, we are celebrating Dump the Pump with the help of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme. Participating youths were invited to submit original artwork with the theme of trying transit and saving money. Ten very talented artists submitted their work, which is showcased here to kick off our new Gold Coast Transit webpage. Our thanks go out to LaVonne McCullough of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme for inspiring these terrific submittals.

Over the past year we have made many improvements to the public transit service we provide throughout Western Ventura County. Our name changed from South Coast Area Transit (SCAT) to Gold Coast Transit, a name that’s more unique and better describes our beautiful region. Along with our name change came new buses, a new logo, fresh system colors and this new website.
